Stephanie Thompson, PA-C
Physician Assistant to: J. Theodore Schwartz, Jr., M.D.
"My favorite thing about being a Physician Assistant is the ability to work as a member of a team that focuses on helping our patients return to a healthy and active lifestyle."
- Undergraduate, Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience, Brown University
- Graduate, Masters of Science in Physician Assistant, Weill Cornell Medicine
As a lifelong athlete, I’ve always had a special interest in orthopedic medicine. Previously, my focus was how to keep myself on the field. Now, my focus is how to keep my patients on the field (or whatever your “field” may be). I use my experiences as a Division 1 collegiate athlete and battling through my own injuries to better understand and care for our patients.
As a Physician Assistant, I work directly with Dr. Schwartz assisting him in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of our patients’ upper extremity injuries. I also assist with shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgeries.
My primary goal as a Physician Assistant is to create a supportive environment where every patient feels empowered and educated to advocate for their health and get back to life and work.
When I'm not seeing patients, I enjoy playing sports, watching sports, traveling, hiking and cooking.
