Dr. Slabaugh completed his orthopedic residency training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), after which he completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Minnesota before coming to practice at Webster Orthopedics. He specializes in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of many spinal disorders including pediatric problems, scoliosis, fractures, and back pain caused by disc problems and arthritis.
Dr. Slabaugh is a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at UCSF. As chief of orthopaedics at Highland Alameda County trauma hospital, Dr. Slabaugh has extensive experience in all types of orthopedic fractures.
In addition to participating in numerous speaking engagements, Dr. Slabaugh has authored articles in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of Trauma, Journal of Spine, and LeRoy Abbott Orthopaedic Society proceedings.
