Dawn Wong, PA-C

About Dawn Wong
Taking high school anatomy and physiology first sparked my interest in medicine. However, it was my time working as an athletic training intern at UC Irvine helping the Division I athletes rehab from injury and working as a medical assistant and scribe at an orthopedic practice that solidified my aspirations to become an orthopedic physician assistant.
My favorite aspect of being a PA is being able to establish a strong patient-provider relationship and to help patients recover from injury and pain so that they can return to activities of daily living, playing with their children, sports, competition, or mainly to an active, healthy lifestyle.
I work in close collaboration with Dr. Elrashidy on a daily basis to evaluate, diagnosis, and treat patients. We are here to thoroughly explain your condition and assess both non-operative and operative treatment options. In the clinic, I perform a lot of procedures including cortisone and PRP injections. I am also trained to first assist in all surgeries, including, but not limited to shoulder and knee arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and fracture surgeries.
My goal as a PA is to actively listen to each of my patients to understand their individual needs with compassion and tailor a treatment plan to them for provide personalized care.
While I am not seeing patients at Webster Orthopedics, I enjoy yoga, working out, modeling, snowboarding, hiking, and traveling.
