After graduating from Antioch High School and University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Talwar completed medical school at Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the San Francisco orthopedic residency program. He then went on to complete a one-year fellowship in spine surgery at UC Davis, where he gained experience in all facets of complex spine surgery. At Webster Orthopedics, he provides surgical and nonsurgical care to pediatric and adult patients with disorders of the spine.
Dr. Talwar’s dedication to medicine and his patients is demonstrated by his past volunteer time with babies and children at the Temple University Department of Pediatric and Oakland Children’s Hospital. He volunteers at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic “Rock Med” providing medical care at local concert venues. He has frequently been invited to speak as a guest lecturer in a variety of topics in orthopedic and spine surgery. He has been involved in ground level research working to develop new techniques and implants currently available in the treatment of complex spinal disorders.
Dr. Talwar’s interests include reconstructive pediatric and adult spinal surgery and microsurgery, and the development of minimally invasive techniques in spinal surgery.
