Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (we call them Patient Care Coordinators) to work both front and back office. The position will spend 2 days/week assisting a Pediatric Orthopedist with back office patient care. 3 days/week will be devoted to reception duties at the front desk. You will be based in our Dublin clinic, but will also travel to our San Ramon clinic one morning per week.

This position requires a person who enjoys both front and back office, and is comfortable in both arenas.

Successful candidates must have 1+ years of successful medical office experience with a desire to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment. This position requires a firm knowledge of insurance, excellent organization and follow-up skills and a detail oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent customer service skills, an ability to greet each patient in a warm and friendly manner, accurate data entry capture, professional phone triage skills and problem resolution skills. Must be able to assist with patient care activities such as drawing injections, taking vitals and maintaining clinical records. Requires the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitate basic clinic flow.
• Insurance registration
• Answer and screen incoming phone calls and triage accordingly
• Schedule appointments as requested
• Process patient registration into Centricity EMR system
• Processing pharmacy callbacks according to strict physician protocols.
• Clean exam rooms and work stations
• Autoclave instruments
• Respond to Workers’ Compensation adjusters/RN’s regarding work status of patients
• Obtain insurance verifications and authorizations and enter patient data accurately
• Price services and collect out of pocket expenses
• Audit superbills and enter charges into out EMR software
• Assist with daily chart preparation

Physical Therapy Aide (part-time)
Berkeley
 
We are hiring a part-time Physical Therapy Aide for our physical therapy center in Berkeley. This position will work 3-4 hours each day from 2:30 PM until closing, for a total of 15-20 hours per week.

This position is responsible for assisting the physical therapists in the treatment of patients with a variety of orthopedics injuries, and maintaining the corresponding documentation and medical records.
 
Previous exercise instruction experience and familiarity with the standard concepts, practices and procedures of physical therapy is required. Certified personal trainer a plus. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. The ideal candidate must be a team player and willing to learn and grow in a fast paced clinic setting. This position requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate with therapists, staff and patients.
 
Responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to:

• Instructing or supervising stretches and exercises (per request of therapist).
• Delivering physical agent modalities (PAMS) as instructed by the therapist.
• Welcoming patients, setting up equipment for treatment and taking patients off of equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, well-organized clinic: sanitizing tables, organizing supplies, maintaining laundry, putting equipment away.
• Assembling patient charts and prepping forms for documentation.
• Use of the computer to schedule appointments and reference charts.
 
 
 
Patient Care Coordinator
San Ramon/Dublin
 
We are seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator to assist a busy hand and elbow surgeon. This position will be based in our San Ramon office, but will also travel to our Dublin clinic two days per week.
 
This position is responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the clinic(s). Must display a high level of customer service and patient care. Under the direction of the physician, assists in the delivery of health care for patients and performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, rooming and prepping patients, maintenance of clinical records/documentation, drawing up injections, taking vital signs, inventory/stocking of exam rooms and castroom.
 
The ideal candidate for this position must be a team player and willing to learn and grow in a fast paced clinic setting. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but is not required.
 
This position will be responsible for multiple aspects of the PCC role including but not limited to:
• Rooming patients
• Answering patient calls and voicemails and triaging accordingly
• Obtaining prior authorization for outside testing
• Drawing injections
• Completion of disability forms
• Provide post op maintenance per physician instruction, i.e. Suture, dressing and cast removal
• Processing pharmacy callbacks according to strict physician protocols
• Clean exam rooms and work stations
• Autoclave instruments
• Ability to commute between offices
• Knowledge of EMR system helpful
 
Must have at least one year clinical setting experience and/or medical assistant certification.
 
 
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time)
San Ramon/Dublin
 
We are seeking a part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work with a busy Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon. This position will work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, approximately 24 hours per week. There will be a focus on seeing Workers Compensation patients. At least two days per week will be spent seeing patients in clinic, while the third day may be spent assisting the surgeon in his clinics.
 
This position will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of surgical and non-surgical orthopedic conditions and providing health education to patients and families. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, multiple office environment. Experience in handling workers compensation cases is a must.
 
This position will be based in our San Ramon office, but will travel to our Dublin office as well.

Physical Therapist

Webster Orthopedics is looking for 2 Physical Therapist for our busy and upbeat PT centers in San Ramon and Berekeley. These are full time positions, with hours Monday-Friday.
 
The PT provides direct patient care to pre-op, post-op and non-surgical patients with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in an outpatient clinic setting.
 
Requires a physical therapy license in the State of California and 5 years or more of experience in sports and/or orthopedic physical therapy.
